Goalkeeper and defence: Willy Caballero, Serge Aurier, Filipe Luis, Miranda, Eliaquim Mangala
A new arrival in goal could be exciting Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who has long been a target for his old manager Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City. The Argentine is reportedly close to sealing a move to the Etihad Stadium this summer, which could spell trouble for current number one Joe Hart.
At right-back, Toulouse youngster Serge Aurier could be Arsenal’s replacement for Bacary Sagna, and his impressive showing for the Ivory Coast at the World Cup will have done him no harm in his quest for a big move. On the opposite side, Chelsea are strongly tipped to be bringing in Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis from Atletico Madrid to replace the long-serving Ashley Cole.
In the centre, Luis’ Atletico team-mate and fellow countryman Miranda is one of the most in-demand defenders in Europe at the moment and is wanted by Manchester United. He is partnered here by Porto youngster Eliaquim Mangala, who has been linked with a whole host of top clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City.
