AML) Gabi Agbonlahor – Aston Villa
Agbonlahor’s pace and direction on the break was particularly impressive for a Villa side that took a 2-0 lead at Anfield against Liverpool. The winger also made good decisions, and gave Glen Johnson a torrid time, in the first half especially.
FC) Samuel Eto’o – Chelsea
The African forward surprisingly started ahead of Fernando Torres against the Premier League champions, but completely justified Jose Mourinho’s decision, by bagging a clinical hat-trick to sink United.
FC) Emmauel Adebayor – Tottenham
When Adebayor is motivated and hungry, he’s a real force to be reckoned with. He scored twice, one with a header and once with a clinical finish, meaning he’s now scored six in eight matches in all competitions since Sherwood took charge.
