Tashan Deniran-Alleyne’s XI
David de Gea; Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry, Laurent Koscielny, Ryan Bertrand; Alexis Sanchez, Cesc Fabregas, Morgan Schneiderlin, Eden Hazard; Diego Costa, Sergio Aguero.
Tashan says: “The team is dominated by five Chelsea players and rightfully so as they have all been instrumental in the Blues winning the Premier League title this season.
“Terry is arguably the best defender in the league, Fabregas has the most assists, Hazard was the Player of the Year and Costa scored 20 goals in his first season in English football.
“De Gea has been fantastic for Manchester United, as have Koscielny and Bertrand defensively for Arsenal and Southampton respectively.
“Alexis has been brilliant for the Gunners after his summer move from Barcelona, while Schneiderlin has been a key player in a Saints side that has done extremely well this season.
“And finally Aguero gets the nod over Kane in attack given the fact he finished the season as the league’s top scorer with 26 goals.”
Jonathan Machlin’s XI
Joe Hart; Phil Jones, Aaron Cresswell, Martin Skrtel, John Terry; Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas, Steven Gerrard; Harry Kane, Christian Benteke.
Jonathan says: “Most of the players in this team were the primary sources of success for the top clubs in the Premier League, with just a few outliners.
“A. Gerrard isn’t the studhe once was, but I have still chosen him ahead of the league’s other star midfielders.
“B. I’m sure Benteke looks like a major question mark, but, he was the main shining light in an otherwise very poor Aston Villa team. who would have gone down without him”
