Daniel Baricevic’s XI
David de Gea; Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry, Jose Fonte, Cesar Azpilicueta; Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic, Cesc Fabregas, Alexis Sanchez; Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero.
Daniel says: “Big core of Chelsea players in this squad, and how could you not pick them?
“The Blues were utterly dominant this term as they cruised to a fourth Premier League title, and much of the credit can be put down to six players in this XI.
“De Gea was clearly the standout goalkeeper this season and shown major improvement since joining from Atletico Madrid a couple of seasons ago.
“Fonte was outstanding for Southampton, and Brendan Rodgers may be wishing he had signed the centre-back instead of Dejan Lovren last summer…
“Alexis was the signing of the season, while Kane narrowly edges out Chelsea striker Diego Costa following a superb breakout season.”
“Manchester City attacker Aguero was a shining light for Manuel Pellegrini’s side in what otherwise was a poor title defence by the men from the Etihad.”
Jordan Harris’ XI
David de Gea; Branislav Ivanovic, Ryan Bertrand, John Terry, Laurent Koscielny; Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard, Fabian Delph, Sadio Mane; Harry Kane, Diego Costa.
Jordan says: “No surprise Chelsea players dominate the side. But, Manchester United have De Gea to thank for their place in the top four, and will miss him next year if he goes.
“Mane and Bertrand were part of the most surprising team of the season, while Alexis and Kane were arguably the two most impressive players of the season. And Aston Villa would have gone down had it not been for Delph.”
