Premier League title droughts: Mourinho might think twice calling Arsenal’s 10-year wait ‘boring’ after incredible Chelsea record

1st: Chelsea

Drought: 50 years

Perhaps Jose Mourinho would be slightly more modest in his assertion that 10-years without a title is boring if he actually realised how extensive Chelsea’s history without a winning medal was.

Alas, given the investment of one Roman Abramovich, the Blues managed to acquire their first in 50 years in 2005 – it must be said though that this was after quite significant investment.

But you can hardly argue that it hasn’t been effective given they’re about to win their fourth in almost ten years.
