1. Luis Suarez: 17 goals
The Liverpool striker has scored 1.55 goals every 90 minutes, the best ratio of any player in Europe. Suarez’s remarkable form is better than Ballon d’Or favourite Cristiano Ronaldo, who has netted 1.25 goals per match this season, but not quite at the 1.58 goals per 90 minutes that Barcelona’s Lionel Messi managed last season.
Suarez only needs exactly four shots for every goal scored and his percentage of shots on target is 54.41% – second only to Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey in the Premier League – suggesting he has vastly improved the wayward finishing that was a feature of his play when he first arrived at Anfield.
