Luke Shaw (Southampton)
Luke Shaw’s stock has risen beyond tautological description over the past two seasons, with the 18 year-old Southampton left back voted into the PFA Premier League Team of the Year by his fellow players this week to cap a memorable campaign.
Shaw has also forced his way into the England squad, looking mightily impressive on his full Three Lions debut, and regardless of whether the 2014 FIFA World Cup comes too soon for the teenager, he looks set for a long international career.
The Guardian claim Manchester United are confident of beating Chelsea to Shaw’s signature.
