1. Tim Howard (Goalkeeper, Everton)
The longest-tenured American in the Premier League, Howard has been the USMNT goalkeeper since 2010 – an honor he earned after a 3-year stint with Manchester United.
After the Red Devils won the FA Cup in 2004, Howard was named to the PFA Premier League Team of the Year, but the following season his play diminished and by 2006 he was on loan to Everton – a move that became permanent the following season. He has recorded 109 clean sheets for the club since and his career 125 clean sheets ranks 10th in Premier League history – with seven more he’d pass fellow American Brad Freidel for 8th in Premier League history.
