Whilst most would probably agree that Suarez, Bale and van Persie are superior players to Rooney, no one can dispute the 28-year-old’s record in English football.
Ever since joining the Red Devils in 2003 the England international has taken everything in his stride and currently has 173 goals and 92 assists in 307 league appearances.
