Jonjo Shelvey put in a man-of-the-match display on his full England debut against San Marino yesterday.
The Swansea City midfielder was rewarded for his early-season form with his first Three Lions start and, although Wayne Rooney stole the show with his record-equalling goal, Shelvey was arguably the pick of the performers in a 6-0 victory which booked Roy Hodgson’s men their place at Euro 2016.
