An analysis of the entertainment value of of all the Premier League fixtures from the 2014-15 season revealed that the most entertaining club to watch was neither Chelsea nor Arsenal – but Tottenham Hotspur.
Snap.pa had reporters at every Premier League game during the season and had them rate each game’s entertainment value up to 100. According to the results of Snap.pa, Tottenham Hotspur, who finished 5th on the Premier League table, averaged 72/100 for the entire season – higher than Arsenal (71), Chelsea (67) or Man City (71).
Tottenham was the only club to receive a mark of 80 or higher for more than one full month and actually reached that mark four times throughout the season – the only club to do so more than once. From January through March, Tottenham received 80 or higher every month before finally dropping to a 60 in April.
Considering that arguably the best game of the season was the Spurs win over the eventual Champion Chelsea Blues on New Year’s Day, it’s no wonder they finished the year so high.
Arsenal finished just behind Tottenham on the entertainment value at home, with Tottenham receiving a 74.8 and Arsenal receiving a 70.9. On the road, however, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City were the kings of entertainment value, with the 3rd, 2nd and and highest scores respectively.
Manchester United and Liverpool finished just above the average of 64/100 as both clubs finished with 65. Liverpool never had a single month with a score above 70 and Man U had four separate months with a score of 58 or lower.
