The Gunners play against Everton on Sunday, and will be hoping that they don’t continue this terrible record against the Toffees.
Only seven teams have got less points than the North London club against the bigger sides. They have managed ten points in as many games against Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton, Southampton, and Stoke City. Even relegation threatened Crystal Palace have got 11 points, albeit with an extra two matches.
Manager Arsene Wenger seems to be in denial about the situation, and even spouted false facts to try and defend his team.
The Frenchman said: “We just played 2-2 at Liverpool, we have beaten Manchester City away and, er… we have just beaten Crystal Palace.”
He added: “Liverpool have never finished above us in the last 10 years.” In reality the Reds have finished above them four times in the past decade.
