Paris Saint-Germain have announced that they have completed the signing of Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle United.
The France international midfielder moves to Parc des Princes for an undisclosed fee after two and a half years on Tyneside.
In 93 matches for the Magpies, Cabaye scored 18 goals and provided 15 assists, and was one of the first names on the teamsheet due to his ability to dictate play from the middle of the park.
Cabaye will wear the number four for PSG, and will hope that appearing in the UEFA Champions League in the second half of the season will boost his chances of attaining a place in the France side for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
“I was won over by the ambitious project at Paris Saint Germain and I can’t wait to join this exceptional squad and help the team reach its objectives in France and in Europe,” Cabaye told the official PSG website.
