Paris Saint Germain have approached Arsenal over the signing of wantaway striker Nicklas Bendtner.
The 23-year-old forward and his representatives have held talks with Stoke, but the Potters are unprepared to meet Arsenal’s £11m asking price.
But free-spending PSG have cash from mega-rich owners Qatari Investment and they should have no problem meeting the valuation for the temperamental Dane.
Newcastle and Sunderland have also been linked with a move for Bendtner, who is desperate to leave the Emirates this summer having struggled to break into Arsenal’s starting line-up last season.
According to The Times, Wenger may reinvest the cash generated from the Bendtner sale into signing Wolve strike Kevin Doyle.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s young Spanish defender Ignasi Miquel, 19, is an ambitious loan target for Dario Gradi’s League Two side Crewe.
