Ex-Paris Saint Germain midfielder Jerome Rothen has put Arsenal on high alert after admitting that striker Edinson Cavani could leave the club, Goal.com reports.

The Uruguay international joined PSG for €64 million from Napoli in July 2013, but has struggled for consistent goalscoring form for the side and has often been deployed out wide in order to accommodate striking star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And while a proposed transfer failed to materialise over the summer, with both player and club eager to underline their commitment to each other, Rothen believes that the Uruguayan will not be at the club for much longer.
“He can still succeed in Paris, but his performances will be more or less the same. Everything depends on the tactical choices of Laurent Blanc. However, I can’t see him staying long-term in Paris,” he said.
“If he reiterates his desire to leave, the club will not keep him. Especially if he has the same performances as last year – the directors won’t necessarily be satisfied.”
