The French champions are keeping an eye on Cech.
If Chelsea look to sell Petr Cech this summer due to the arrival of Thibaut Courtois then Paris Saint-Germain want to sign the goalkeeper, according to French publication Le Figaro.
Despite having been the No.1 at Stamford Bridge for over a decade and having kept more Premier League clean-sheets than any other player, Cech’s position with the Blues is under threat.
That is due to the impressive form of Courtois over the past three years, with the 22-year-old having been on-loan from West London with Atletico Madrid.
During that time the Belgium international has helped Diego Simeone’s men to La Liga, Copa del Rey and Europa League triumphs, as well as reaching their first ever Champions League final.
Courtois’ performances have seen the stopper become recognised as one of the best in his position in world football and this poses manager Jose Mourinho with a problem.
In an ideal world the 51-year-old would like to keep both ‘keepers at the club, but that is an unrealistic prospect with both men wanting first team football.
Cech’s form over the past years is considered by many to have dropped and at 10 years his junior all the signs seem to point towards making Courtois the new No.1.
Therefore PSG would be willing to take the Czech Republic international on – although what that would mean for Salvatore Sirigu is unknown.
