Brazilian playmaker now in the sights of the French champions.
After speculation suggested a deal is close for Edinson Cavani, PSG are expected to switch their attention to Lazio midfielder Hernanes with a €21m bid.
The Ligue 1 champions have sent director Leonardo to Italy to wrap up the deal for Cavani, which will see them pay the €63m release clause fee according to reports.
However, the spending doesn’t stop there, as La Gazzetta dello Sport now suggest that they will also look to swoop for Brazilian playmaker Hernanes.
It is understood that they are proposing a bid of around €21m, although Lazio president Claudio Lotito is prepared to play hard-ball with them and seek out a fee closer to €30m.
The 28-year-old has grown into an integral part of the squad at the Stadio Olimpico, and it is unclear at this stage as to whether the Biancocelesti would be willing to even entertain offers.
However, that will not put PSG off in their hunt for the midfielder, while they are also tracking the situation surrounding the future of Roma star Daniele De Rossi.
The Italian international has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea, however the Gazzetta also suggest that PSG are ready to hijack that move too.
Laurent Blanc is expected to be handed an increasingly impressive squad for next season, as the Parisians look to build on their title success from last year.
With Cavani, Hernanes and De Rossi potentially joining the party, it could spell trouble for the rest of Europe, although it remains to be seen how it will impact the capital club financially.
