Just a year after the Ligue 1 champions lost out to the Red Devils in the hunt for the Argentine they missed out on in-demand Dutchman Memphis Depay, who announced that he would be heading the Manchester when the transfer window re-opens.
But they may now get their hands on Di Maria, who has struggled to settle in the Northwest following a British record £59.7million move last summer.
The Parisians are hoping to secure the former Real Madrid man by paying £6million on loan, with the view to striking a permanent deal should they decide to keep him.
PSG are also looking to strike a similar deal with Monaco for Radamel Falcao, should United decide not to keep him beyond the end of the season.
