Chris Ramsey has signed a three-year deal with QPR, making him the now permanent head coach.

Ramsey’s deal extends until the summer roof 2018.The 53-year-old vows to build up QPR and make them a team that its fans can be proud of.

The announcement was made via QPR’s twitter earlier today.

QPR’s season has been disastrous, and when Ramsey took over after Harry Redknapp’s resignation in February, there wasn’t much he could do in the situation. Despite being relegated, QPR has confidence that Ramsey will be able to turn it around. Chairman Tony Fernandes is confident that Ramsey is the right man for the job.

“He lives and breathes management and coaching, and I am sure he will flourish in this role, as we look to bounce back from this season’s disappointments,” Fernandes said during an interview with QPR. “This is a new start for us and one I am confident Chris will relish playing a major part in.”
Although returning to the Premier League is QPR’s first priority, they understand it may take some time to rebuild the club, but Ramsey has accepted the challenge.
“I enjoyed my time in temporary charge, despite the way the season panned out, and now I’m looking forward to the challenge of helping rebuild this club over the coming years,” Ramsey said. “I am fully aware of what this club means to its supporters and I intend to do everything possible to help build a QPR team they can be proud of.”
