Salah has struggled for opportunities since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Swiss champions FC Basel in January, leading to suggestions that he would push for a loan move away from the club in a bid to taste more regular action.
Rangers manager Redknapp has admitted that he will be forced to deal in the loan market in January after a profligate summer at Loftus Road – but he does not expect Salah to be part of his plans:
“I don’t think Chelsea would loan him, I’ve never asked about him, I wouldn’t think we’d get him on loan.”
“It’s a difficult one, spending big money in January.”
“We bought players in in the summer, [now] we’re looking for loans. It’s difficult. You’re taking a gamble.”
