Hoops see England man as the ideal player to help them gain promotion back to the top flight.
Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers want to sign unwanted Tottenhan Hotspur midfield player Scott Parker this summer in a cut-price deal worth just £2 million, says the London Evening Standard.
The veteran England international has been deemed surplus to requirements by Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas after spending just the past two seasons at White Hart Lane, during which time the 32-year-old has made 62 appearances in all competitions for the north London club, including 49 in the Premier League.
However, with Spurs on the verge of signing Brazil international Paulinho for £17m this summer to play in Parker’s holding midfield role at the Lane next season, the Englishman is now looking for a new club, with the likes of Premier League duo Sunderland and Fulham also both said to be keen in signing the player.
But QPR manager Harry Redknapp feels that he can persuade Parker, who he brought to the Lane from West Ham United in Aug 2011 for a fee of £5.5m, to drop down a division next season and help get the Hoops back up to the top flight at the first attempt.
