Queensland Reds star Karmichael Hunt arrested for alleged supply of cocaine
According to Channel Nine, the code-hopper entered his guilty plea at the Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Hunt was fined $2500 for cocaine possession, downgraded from the initial charges of the supply of the drug into south-east Queensland.
“I am obviously relieved with the outcome today,” he told reporters.
“It has been a difficult couple of weeks for myself and my family. I’m just looking forward to putting this part of the process behind us and moving on.”
Hunt has been handed a $30,000 fine and a six-week ban from the Australian Rugby Union following the guilty plea.
The two Gold Coast Titans players charged with cocaine supply – Beau Falloon and Jamie Dowling – had their cases adjourned until May 8 after neither entered a plea.
