Falcao is set to compete with the likes of Rooney and Robin van Persie for a striker’s position at Old Trafford. Only two out of the three could play up front for United meaning one of them may have to miss out or, Rooney may have to drop back and play in a central midfield role.
The dilemma is a big one for manager Louis van Gaal as the Dutchman also has to try and accommodate Juan Mata and Angel di Maria in his lineup.
However, having so many attacking players in one side will surely excite the United faithful, who should be able to look forward to some exciting football at Old Trafford this season.
