Former boss lines up shock return to Anfield.
Napoli boss Rafael Benitez has apparently rejected the offer of a new deal with the club because he wants to ensure that he is available should the opportunity to return to Liverpool pop up, the Metro reports.

Liverpool transfer rumours
Benitez spent a successful spell in charge at Anfield between 2004-10, where he helped the side pick up a Champions League victory in 2005.
His current deal with the Serie A giants expires at the end of the season, and reports close to the club are claiming that he is refusing to sign fresh terms with the club.
Benitez is said to be dreaming of a return to Liverpool, despite there being no clear indication that Brendan Rodgers is about to lose his job.
However, having fallen out of the title race and succumbing to a disappointing defeat in Europe, pressure has been cranked up somewhat in recent weeks.
