Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling contract demands revealed in Times editor’s Twitter rant
(Video) Liverpool star Raheem Sterling “flattered” by Arsenal interest
In the interview the 20-year-old spoke of being ‘flattered’ by interest from Arsenal, and claimed that his contract negotiations with the club are stalled due to other reasons than money. His mentioning of wanting to play with world class players and win trophies may hint at why he is unwilling to sign a deal even if it is for £180,000 a week according to the Daily Mail.
According to the Express report, the Reds have been trying to shield the youngster from the media since he broke in to the first team at Anfield. The Merseyside outfit’s manager Brendan Rodgers is therefore unlikely to be pleased that the England international has spoken so frankly without warning the club that he was going to do so.
The Independent’s Sam Wallace offered even stronger words for Sterling’s actions in an interview with BBC Radio Five Live, stating that the England star had ‘gone rogue.’
"Raheem Sterling has gone rogue, this interview wasn't sanctioned by #LFC" Sam Wallace Chief football correspondent for The Independent

The concern for Liverpool is that Sterling’s actions may be burning bridges with the club’s fanbase – and therefore force their hand when it comes to a sale.
