Undoubtedly one of the favourites, Manchester City have already had a bid turned down for Sterling and could come back with a bigger offer. Manuel Pellegrini knows he needs homegrown players in his squad and could also do with improving on underperformers like Jesus Navas and Samir Nasri in the attacking midfield position. Due to a lack of historic rivalry between these two teams, Liverpool will be more accepting of seeing Sterling move to the Etihad Stadium than to other English sides.
