Raheem Sterling could not resist taking a dig at Liverpool after scoring three minutes into his Manchester City debut this morning.
On his first appearance since his £49m arrival from the Reds, Sterling opened the scoring and his City account in a 2-2 draw with AS Roma.

The England international’s final few months at Anfield were marred by the transfer saga in which he and mouthy agent Aidy Ward pulled out all of the stops to force his way out of the club.
Ward was quoted as saying that Sterling’s relationship with manager Brendan Rodgers had broken down, while the player refused to sign a new contract and called in sick for Liverpool pre-season training.
Only hours after his dream City bow, the 20-year-old, the most expensive Englishman in history, posted the following picture on Instagram, with the caption reading: “Back doing what I love doing”.
Sterling could come up against his former club when they host Liverpool in the Premier League in late November. City’s trip to Anfield falls on the first weekend of March.
