Manchester City shift focus to three players after Sterling bid rejection
Manchester City transfer news: Citizens keen to land Barcelona midfielder
ESPN FC sources indicate that Manchester City is ready to pull the trigger on the disgruntled star with a £50m bid offer.
Man City is hoping that their third bid will be the charm after having already having their initial two offers turned down by Liverpool.
The Citizens first attempted to bid on Sterling for £25m plus add ons before increasing their offer to £40m.
Liverpool is refusing to budge on selling Sterling unless they receive an offer for at least £50m.
They are sure to put serious thought into Man City’s latest bid, assuming they follow through.
Sterling would bring a scoring threat to Man City and soften the blow of losing players like Frank Lampard and James Milner.
Sterling may be the final puzzle piece that Man City needs to get back on top in the Premier League after they finished the 2014-15 season in second place. They took home the championship in the 2013-14 season.
