Sergio Ramos‘s prospective move to Manchester United appears no closer to completion.
The defender has travelled with Real Madrid on their pre-season tour, which begins in Australia where they will play Roma and Manchester City in the International Champions Cup.
Ramos has reportedly told Madrid officials that he wants to leave the Bernabeu this summer with two years left on his contract and move to Old Trafford.
United are believed to have had an opening £28.3m offer for the World Cup winner rejected and the negotiations are likely to be long and complex as they include several factors.
Ramos’s future is intertwined with that of Red Devils goalkeeper David de Gea. The Spaniard is a top target for Real to replace Iker Casillas, whose move to Porto was confirmed on Saturday.
After their fortnight Down Under, Los Blancos move on to China to play Italian giants Inter and AC Milan.
