3. West Virginia – The transition to the Big XII has been rough for the Mountaineers, and it may get tougher with games against Oklahoma State, TCU and Kansas State, but when you can fight fire with fire the way West Virginia did against the Baylor Bears, all it takes is one decent performance by the defense to keep the team in the title hunt.
2. Baylor – QB Bryce Petty should still be considered a favorite to be a final Heisman trophy nominee. He played a good game against the Mountaineers and gets one more bite at the Big XII apple with games against Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Kansas State still on the menu.
1. TCU – Outside of a very narrow 3-point loss on the road to Baylor, TCU has been virtually unstoppable. They’ll have a tough road game against the Mountaineers before they get to play Kansas State at home. After that, three games against Kansas, Texas and Iowa State should be a breeze for this talented team.
