10. David Silva – Manchester City
Hazard may be the actual Player of the Year, but the nippily little Spaniard is undoubtedly the most skilful. City’s title defence fell away in April, but he has shown a desire to never give up the fight.
9. Raheem Sterling – Liverpool
It’s all gone wrong for Liverpool this month, who now look set to miss out on Champions League football next term. However, Sterling has attempted more dribbles than any other player this month with 34, proving that the talk about his future has not effected him too badly.
8. Juan Mata – Manchester United
Mata dominated proceedings against Liverpool, and capped his performance off with two fine goals – the second of which was a true thing of beauty.
7. Nemanja Matic – Chelsea
If it wasn’t a given already, then the big Serb really cemented his stature as the league’s most powerful and effective defensive midfielder – adding to his tally of tackles to score an impressive 109.
6. Jordan Henderson – Liverpool
Hendo tied his future to the Anfield side in a deal worth £100,000-per-week, and he got to proving he is worth it by helping to create 10 scoring chances for his teammates this month, sadly, though, it’s a shame his teammates haven’t put enough of those chances away.
