3. Bill Belichick vs. Pete Carroll
Quarterbacks and defensive players are not the only people responsible for a team’s success, especially when it comes to teams like the Patriots. Belichick has led his team to three Super Bowl victories while taking them there five times. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has also established himself as an elite coach in the NFL since coaching USC to two national titles before leaving in 2010.
Carroll coached the Seahawks to a Super Bowl last season, and it will come as no surprise if he is able to lead them to a second. If the Seahawks repeat, Carroll will establish himself as arguably the best coach in the NFL right now. If the Patriots win, Belichick will have an even stronger argument for being the best NFL coach of all time. Only former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Chuck Noll has won four Super Bowls.
