The Philadelphia Eagles have had an offseason filled with madness since head coach Chip Kelly was handed full control of team personnel, but there may be a method to it as they have signed All-Pro running back DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews.

Mathews had signed with the Eagles to a three-year, $11.5 million contract. However, speculation surfaced that he may possibly back out of his contract since Frank Gore did exactly that and signed with the Indianapolis Colts instead.
The Eagles now have three quality running backs in Murray, Mathews and Darren Sproles.
Despite his talent and the Eagles’ incredible running back depth, Mathews will need to shed his injury-prone label since he has failed to play all 16 games in a season aside from 2013.
The Eagles will head into the draft with Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez as their top quarterbacks, but their rushing offense is sure to resemble that of Kelly’s Oregon teams.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter made Mathews’ signing with the Eagles official on Twitter.
