Real Madrid’s Isco has ruled out a move to the Premier League after being made aware of interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.
The fabulously talented 22-year-old was signed from Malaga for £23.4m last summer, and had a successful first season at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, as is so often the way at Madrid, several signings have jumped ahead of him in the queue for minutes in his favoured position.
This has lead to speculation about his future, with Arsenal at the head of the queue for the gifted attacker. But the Express has reported that the player is insisting he is happy to stay and battle with some of the best midfielders in the world for minutes, applying some pressure on manager Carlo Ancelotti in the process:
“Like all players, I want to play but I am ready to be in the team whenever the coach wants… I am playing very little and I hope to play more.”
Both Arsenal and Liverpool added several attacking players over the summer, and will be happy to bide their time.
