Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez says the La Liga giants are not done just yet in the summer transfer market, and it could spell bad news for Manchester United.
Red Devils keeper David de Gea has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer, and it is believed he will sign for the Spanish club either before the end of the summer window or as a free agent next year.
Manchester United are understood to be desperate to hold onto the 24-year-old, however, Benitez has hinted he could make a move for De Gea before the closure of the summer transfer window.
“We have a good team, but coaches always want to improve,” Benitez is quoted as saying by Daily Express.
“The market is open until August 31.”
De Gea is expected to start for United in its season opener against Tottenham on Saturday despite his forgettable display against Paris Saint-Germain last week.
