Los Blancos president reportedly wants talks with White Hart Lane chiefs.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has flown to the UK as the La Liga club continue their shameless pursuit of Gareth Bale, reports the Daily Mirror.
The tabloid’s John Cross – an Arsenal fan by the way – claims Perez will seek talks with Tottenham during the visit, despite insisting the trip is solely related to his personal business interests.
Perez has confirmed himself as a Spanish – an infinitely less classy – version of Dave Whelan this summer, with his not-so-subtle and extremely illegal pursuit of Spurs winger Bale.
The Los Blancos chief has urged the club’s oily PR machine, led by sensationalist mouthpiece Marca, into action and every man connected to Real and his dog has been bleating about the Welsh forward, not least Perez’s bald gopher of a director of football, the once-legendary Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman even went so far as to urge the 23-year-old to hand in a transfer request at Spurs, who are of course supposed to be Real’s strategic partners (an agreement about as meaningful as Hitler and Stalin’s 1939 non-aggression pact).
The north London out have made it abundantly clear that the former Southampton star and treble player of the year is not for sale but it seems that nothing will stop Real’s classless, desperate probing.
