Spanish giants fear Casillas is heading to Arsenal.
Real Madrid are reportedly targeting a move for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer as Iker Casillas looks set to sign for Arsenal next summer, according to Bild.
The Spanish giants already signed Costa Rican shot-stopper Keylor Navas from Levante this summer to compete with Casillas for the number one spot, but they may be set to make further additions in that position if the veteran Spaniard leaves the Bernabeu next summer.
The 33-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Madrid and is seemingly ready to walk away on a free transfer after spending his entire career with the club, and Neuer has been identified as the ideal big-name target to replace him as number one.
The German international has been superb for Bayern and for his national side in recent times, helping himself to winners’ medals in the Bundesliga, the Champions League and the World Cup in just two years.
