Real leading the chase for Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino.
La Liga giants Real Madrid are hoping to secure a deal with Bundesliga surprise packages Hoffenheim for the signing of Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino, report the Express, after they reportedly abandoned their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Ramires due to the Blues’ unwillingness to sell the former Benfica man.

Real manager Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to secure the signing of another midfielder in the January transfer window, with Sami Khedira looking almost certain to depart the Bernabeu, and now seems to have settled on Arsenal target Firmino after his superb start to the Bundesliga campaign for Hoffenheim.
One of a number of exciting young talents at the notoriously entertaining club, Firmino has both an eye for a pass and a goal but is also willing to get stuck in and could well be a fantastic find for a club like Real Madrid.
