Real Madrid are investigating the possibility of signing Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, in case they fail to sign Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco.
The Daily Mirror believe that Carlo Ancelotti’s men will table a €20million offer for Hernandez before the window shuts – based on initial reports from Spain.
The Mexican is desperate to leave Old Trafford in the coming days and has been linked with Juventus and Real’s city rivals Atletico after falling down the pecking order at United.
His departure could come as part of an eleven player turnaround at United on deadline day. Louis van Gaal is keen to follow up the signing of Daley Blind with another Dutch star in the shape of Nigel de Jong.
Should that deal fall through, United could splash the cash on either Arturo Vidal or William Carvalho but even more players are set to go.
Joining Tottenham-bound Welbeck and Hernandez could be Shinji Kagawa, Anderson, Anders Lindegaard and Marouane Fellaini, while Tom Cleverley is certain to leave.
