The 15-year-old has already visited the Real Madrid and Ajax training grounds, but hopes to visit some more before Christmas. One of these trips will be to Melwood, where Brendan Rodgers and the Liverpool coaching staff will check out his abilities first hand.
Rodgers has already spoken of how highly he rates the youngster, but will face tough competition from Europe’s biggest clubs for his signature. Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, as well as Real Madrid, Manchester United and Ajax are supposed to be interested in the Norway international.
The attacking midfielder is currently playing in his home country with Stromsgodset, but looks likely to move on soon as interest in him intensifies.
Odegaard is both the youngest player to ever play for Norway’s senior side, as well as the youngest to ever play in the European Championship Qualifiers. He was 15 years and 253 days old when he made his debut, and 15 years and 300 days old when he played in a qualifier against Bulgaria.
