Barcelona transfer news
The German international, a Champions League and World Cup winner in 2014, is set to see out his contract at the Bernabeu and leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Premier League clubs such as Manchester United have been linked with the 28-year-old, as well as the likes of Schalke and Inter Milan, but Spanish source Sport is now claiming Barcelona could also be a surprise contender to snap him up.
Khedira has been a big player for Real since joining the club from Stuttgart back in 2010, winning La Liga in 2012 and also being part of their squad that won the Champions League last season.
Still, he could now cross the divide and move to the Nou Camp, in a similarly controversial move to when Luis Figo made the switch in the opposite direction back in 2000.
