Perez expects the manager and Isco to be at the Bernabeu soon.
Outspoken Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has given his thoughts on the likeliness of Los Blancos bringing in Carlo Ancelotti and Malaga’s Isco.
Both have been a long-term targets for Madrid with Ancelotti almost certain to make the move from Paris Saint-Germain to the Spanish capital, whilst Isco is also being courted by Manchester City.
Perez however has waded in before any confirmation to announce that both men are likely to be at the Santiago Bernabeu in the very near future.
“PSG could announce an agreement tomorrow which would allow him to join Madrid. We hope that everything turns out well. My coach is Ancelotti,” the president told 20Minutos.
“The signing depends on Paris Saint-Germain reaching an agreement with Ancelotti and announcing their new coach, [Laurent] Blanc.”
Despite Madrid having not agreed terms with Malaga’s starlet as yet, Perez still had comments to make about the young Spaniard.
“Isco has a big chance to be a Real Madrid player because he wants to go to Madrid and Madrid want him too.
“Isco is one of Spain’s best players and the coaching team believe he’s good enough to play for Madrid. I know he’s excited to come. It’s the same with me.
“If all goes well, we can announce his signing soon. Always after announcing the coach.”
This announcement form Madrid will probably do little to please City and their fans, with new manager Manuel Pellegrini hopeful of signing Isco himself.
Pellegrini worked closely with the Spain under-21 international for two years previously whilst in charge at Malaga and was wanting to use that relationship to tempt the winger to England.
However, Perez is clearly confident Isco will not be moving from Spain but simply across the country to the capital.
The deal for Ancelotti is shrouded in less mystery on the other hand, with the formalities of the move the only thing stopping an official announcement as of yet.
