Madrid ready £65m offer for Gareth Bale after Barcelona grab Neymar.
Tottenham Hotspur are braced for a huge offer from Real Madrid for Gareth Bale, reports the Daily Mail.
After La Liga rivals Barcelona signed Santos superstar Neymar over the weekend, Real are desperate to reply with a big signing of their own, and believe a £65m bid for Bale will be too good for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to turn down.
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez knows he must pay big money to land the Welsh international, but will not back down in his pursuit to sign his top summer target.
Bale won both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards this season, after a remarkable campaign, which included 21 league goals in 33 appearances.
The 23-year-old is reportedly close to signing a new contract at White Hart Lane worth around £130,000-a-week and with his young family settled in London, a move to the Spanish capital still appears unlikely, despite Real’s best efforts.
