Sterling, 19, has been linked with Real several times recently after stalling on signing a new contract at Anfield, while Barkley, 20, is another highly rated talent attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.
The two could cost a combined £78m and join the likes of David Beckham, Michael Owen and Steve McManaman as notable English players to play for the La Liga giants.
The pair are among the most highly rated young talents in England at the moment, and it would certainly mark an interesting change to see English players leave for a move abroad early in their careers.
