Liverpool bosses will travel to Spain for a friendly between Real Madrid and Reds legends on June 14, and The Sun reports Real director Jose Angel Sanchez will attempt to tie up a deal for the England international.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will reportedly unveil former Reds boss Rafael Benitez as its new manager this week, and the Spaniard is believed to have placed Raheem Sterling on top of his summer wishlist.
Liverpool want to keep hold of the 20-year-old, however he has refused to put pen-to-paper on a new and improved deal with the Merseyside club and is expected to be sold in the off-season.
Sterling has two years remaining on his current Liverpool deal, but the Reds will look to sell the youngster before his value decreases as he nears to becoming a free agent.
Real Madrid face stern competition to sign Sterling, with Premier League giants Manchester City and Arsenal also believed to be interested in the former QPR prodigy.
