Wales winger is currently one of the most sought-after players in Europe.
Carlo Ancelotti has made coveted Tottenham Hotspur midfield player Gareth Bale his number one transfer target of the summer for when the Italian is eventually confirmed as the new Real Madrid head coach, reports the Sunday Telegraph.
Ancelotti is currently still the manager of the recently-crowned Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, however, it is expected that he will shortly be named as the successor to Jose Mourinho, with the self-styled ‘Special One’ leaving his post in the Spanish capital at the end of this season.
And the former Parma, Juventus, AC Milan and Chelsea coach has reportedly requested that Los Blancos make an approach for Tottenham’s talented Wales international when the transfer window reopens for business on 1 July.
Bale, 23, is contracted to White Hart Lane until the end of June 2016 and so the north London club are under no pressure to sell the wide man, who has netted 55 goals in 203 games for Spurs, this summer.
