Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has revealed he wanted to leave the club during Jose Mourinho’s time in charge, and has said he believes Carlo Ancelotti is a better manager than the Chelsea boss.

In an interview with Marca, the Spanish international spoke out on his relationship with the Portuguese coach, saying: “Ancelotti is better than Mourinho. With Mourinho I had a love-hate relationship.
“Of course I thought about leaving, but I want to finish my career at Real Madrid.
Casillas added that he does not have a good relationship with his former team-mate Xabi Alonso either: “It does not interest me what he says. In the last years our relationship has not been adequate.”
