The Sun claimed earlier this week that the goalkeeper was incredibly keen in switching the Bernabeu for the Emirates and had already told Arsene Wenger that he was willing to make the move.
However, according to respect Spanish journalist Kike Marin, Casillas has now ruled out a move saying: “Arsenal? Where am I going [that’s going] to [be] better than here (Real Madrid?”
But to add an even bigger twist to the tale, Marin adds that Arsene Wenger never actually wanted him.

Luckily for Arsenal fans it ends a potential transfer saga before it’s even began but it could also have repercussions on Premier League rivals Manchester United.
In The Sun’s reports it stated Casillas’ move to north London meant Real Madrid would therefore make a move for United No. 1 David De Gea who has long been linked with a move back to the Spanish capital.
With Casillas’ move to Arsenal effectively proved to be wide of the mark, it remains to be seen how this could affect any Real move for De Gea.
And it also calls into question the future of Gunners keeper Wojciech Szczesny as the club are continually linked with further moves for shot-stoppers.
