£40m-rated winger to snub Old Trafford offer.Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria looks likely to leave his club this summer, but will reject advances from Manchester United as he chases Champions League football, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Argentine, who can add the World Cup with Argentina to his trophy haul of the Champions League and Copa del Rey this season with a win over Germany on Sunday, is being widely tipped to leave the Bernabeu this summer for around £40m.
The likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also being linked with the 26-year-old, who was one of the best creative players in Europe in 2013/14, and they will now have the edge over United in any potential deal due to their participation in Europe’s top club competition next season.
The Red Devils are paying a heavy price for a disastrous campaign under David Moyes which saw them finish in 7th place in the Premier League, missing out even on the Europa League, and they look unable to add Di Maria to the already-completed signings of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera.
Although the Madrid board are keen to offload Di Maria, manager Carlo Ancelotti is still keen to keep him as part of his first-team squad next season.
