Bale has been roundly criticised for his performances for the Spanish giants following his £85m move from Tottenham, and now The Daily Mail reports his teammates are growing more and more frustrated with the Welsh international due to troubles with the Spanish language.
Bale moved to Madrid two years ago but is believed to still be struggling with the local lingo despite reportedly taking Spanish lessons.
Reak Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti and star player Cristiano Ronaldo are English speakers, but it is believed the dressing room prefers to converses in Spanish, leaving Bale on the outer.
Bale was heavily criticised for his performance in the first leg of his side’s Champions League semi-final clash against Juventus in Turin, leading to a remarkable outburst from his agent Jonathan Barnett.
“We’ve been vindicated by these statistics and it’s what we’ve been saying all along,” Barnett is quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.
“It proves that people don’t know what they’re talking about when they criticise Gareth.
“Real have to work with Gareth and pass the ball to him more. Give him more of the ball and let him show everybody what he’s good at. He’s going to be the best player at Real Madrid when his team-mates work with him and help him.
“Hopefully Real will come to terms with this. I’m very upset that professional pundits don’t realise these facts. They should look at it more closely because it’s plain to see when you watch the games.”
Bale’s statistics suggest the Welshman has enjoyed a solid season for the La Liga giants, but it has not stopped the notoriously demanding Real Madrid fans from demanding more from him.
The former Tottenham and Southampton winger has notched up 13 goals and nine assists in 31 La Liga appearances this season.
